COVID-19 Updates

During this time, my priority is to continue providing high-quality individual therapy services, while following the science and keeping my clients and myself safe and healthy.  At this time, I am offering two options for therapy services:

  1. Telehealth/ Video Sessions – I use a confidential, HIPAA-compliant interface to conduct video sessions with clients.  You will receive an email prior to each session, and to connect, you just click the link.  You can read more about the nuances of telehealth, and what to expect, via this blog post on my site.  Because of limits on my therapy licenses, telehealth is only available to clients who are physically located in California at the time of service.
  2. In-person sessions at my outdoor office in Studio City (with proof of vaccination) – I have set up an al fresco therapy space behind my home office “therapy hut”.  The therapy space is private and located in the back of the yard, far away from both the house and the “waiting area,” in case the next client shows up before your session ends.  I am fully vaccinated, and I welcome clients who are fully vaccinated to attend in person therapy sessions in this space.  It is not possible to do therapy with masks on, but I have set the chairs at least 6′ apart for social distancing, and per the New York Times, outdoor interactions carry a very low risk.  In the case that weather makes the outdoor space inhospitable, we will switch to a telehealth appointment for the affected session.

In early 2020, I led a webinar about how to ground yourself during the pandemic.  You can watch the replay of that talk for free here.

Many of my blog posts since March 2020 have been focused on how to manage the challenges of the pandemic.  Many people have said that my post about self-care during coronavirus has been particularly helpful.

Thank you for trusting me with your care.  Please let me know if you have any questions, and I look forward to continuing to provide support to you during this difficult time.
